The aim of the mountain walking serials is to enable cadets of all abilities to experience wilderness conditions within the Arctic Circle. The walking in this area is quite unlike anything back at home with very few paths and trodden routes. So rare are mountain walkers that some peaks have guest books! On the lower slopes mosquitos, midges and horse flies lie in wait whilst higher up there are snow fields to traverse and very steep ridges to climb. The views are stunning and the air is so fresh and invigorating. The walks proved quite a challenge to the cadets and the reports of our exploits with some pictures can be seen on the reports pages. Any further photos developed after the exped will be featured here.
